Ryan and Kimberly- Pippin Hill Farm Wedding Photographer

When Jill and I pulled into Pippin Hill Farm last Saturday morning bright and early we both just had to stand there and admire it for a minute or two. When you get out of your car and are staring straight at the blue ridge mountains, you just have to pause. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, a little breeze blowing, and there were endless possibilities for what the rest of the day would hold. I know it might be a pretty bold statement, but i can honestly say that Pippin Hill is my favorite venue I’ve ever worked with. They took such great care of Ryan and Kim and helped make their day flawless from start to finish. When I walked through the door Kim and her bridesmaids were lounging together, snacking on homemade almond butter  and apples and sipping mimosas.. exactly what they SHOULD be doing! I love getting to see everyone relax and really be able to enjoy their day! Ryan and Kim, thank you so much for inviting Jill and I to be a small part of it all! Can’t wait to see you both again soon! :) absolutely stunning! a big shout out to the wonderful team from Bristles Hair Design and Make Up! They were there first thing to help ensure that all of the ladies looked incredible! They did such a fabulous job, I would highly recommend contacting them! Kim got to have the full ‘say yes to the dress’ experience since she got her stunning Angel Rivera gown at Kleinfeld’s up in New York! :)one of my favorite moments of the day, right after Kim got her dress on and turned around to show her mom: I think everyone present could tell what a special relationship Kim has with her dad.. love this shot of the two of them coming down the aisle :) married!! They had the ceremony at the University of Virginia Chapel, so we were able to do some photos around the campus immediately after! Since there was a big gap between the ceremony and reception we were able to take full advantage of it! They have a favorite spot on campus, so we headed over to The Virginian for a few minutes to grab a quick drink before heading back to Pippin Hill :)
a huge thank you to Jill for hanging with me for the day and capturing these shots during the cocktail hour! Couldn’t have done it without you! :)
How fun is this?! They had Carpe Donuts right outside of the reception all night long so their guests could enjoy a fresh homemade donut, lemonade, and coffee! I will admit, I had to sample one of the donuts and it was by far the best one I’ve ever had!! YUM! :) A few pretty reception details:
Congratulations again! Happy Friday! :)
