the best part

Someone asked me the other day what the best part of Sunday mornings is, and I didn’t really know where to begin…

Kids that show up excited. Teammates/friends that make me laugh. Getting to pray with parents. Hearing them shout praise and worship songs at the top of their lungs. Seeing kids dig through their bible to find our memory verse for the day. Watching them make new friends and build relationships. Seeing them respond to the Word of God every week. Praying with my team before our service starts. New volunteers that are excited about serving. Kids that walk in the door and immediately run up to me for a hug. Hearing them memorize scripture. Watching them learn new dances to new worship songs. 5th graders that want to be student leaders. Kids that get excited to help me lead worship every week. Coming home and writing down the hilarious things that the kids say throughout the day. Teammates that turn into some of my best friends. Observing kids make good decisions, even if its not what all of their friends are doing.  Growing relationships with their parents. Hearing them shout “What, WHAT!!” at the end of every scripture memory verse. Kids who come to our church for the 1st time and jump right in. 4th grade boys that pull my hair, just to give me a big hug at the same time. Seeing “child-like faith” right in front of my eyes, and being able to learn from it. Kids that see past the mess of our room, and just see the welcoming environment. Watching my teammates grow, learn, and become better leaders week after week. Praying through their prayer requests with them. Little hands raised high with eyes shut tight. Getting to teach them what it means to worship their Heavenly Father…

Seeing kids fall in love with God and His church.

… thats the best part.
So thankful that I get to be a part of the KGB leadership team at Community Church, and for all of the many MANY ways that it blesses me every week :)
 Happy Monday! :)
