my little princess

I found this picture of Lauren from the first summer I was with her, and I spent a good chunk of time today looking at all my favorite pictures of my little princess over the last four years. I can’t believe she’s going to be 5 this summer!! Watching her take her first steps and falling asleep in my arms every day seems like just yesterday, and now she has grown up into this beautiful, smart, caring girl. I love watching her play with her baby brother and see them turn into best friends more and more every day. She has such a desire to learn and knows all her letters and sounds; she would sit and do crafts all day if you let her! She is convinced that every girl is a princess and has her own prince charming, and it makes me so happy to see what a dreamer she is and how she truly shows me what having a child-like faith looks like. One of my absolutely favorite things to do in the world is to put her to bed at night; her snuggling up next to me to read a book or two, then saying prayers and listening to her talk to her Heavenly Father expressing her thanks for her family and for me just melts my little baby heart. By now she has heard me say it so many times that all I have to do is ask her “how much do I love you?!” and she smiles at me, throws her arms in the air, and says “to the moooooon and back!!!” :0) 

Look how much she has grown! I literally don’t think I could pick a favorite if I had to… :0) Love my girl :0) One of these days I’ll get some actual nice ones with my kiddos.. but these will have to do for now :0)
