precious boys

Yesterday was Good Friday. My God is good

Good friday has so much significance to me in so many different ways. 2000 years ago on this day the only perfect, holy man willingly died so that I could spend eternity with my Father. God sacrificed His perfect Son so that we could be in a right relationship with Him for eternity; He came to serve, love, heal, teach, and ultimately to die for us. It never ceases to amaze me the more I learn about Jesus’ ministry 2000 years ago, the more I see Him serving, loving, healing, teaching, and covering our sins still today. Two years ago on good friday I got to stand by and watch Him save one of His precious daughters… yeah, it was a Good Friday to say the least. He is in the business of restoring hearts and saving lives. Once again I humbly beg you, my wonderful blog readers, to ask Him to do just that.

I have been given the opportunity to pray for four precious baby boys recently; Warren, John, Stellan, and Jonah. A couple months ago I asked you to pray for twins Warren and John. Warren was glorified and has been held in Jesus Christ’s arms since February 8th, and his parents are still praying for and battling against the seizures that John continues to have daily. He was able to come home for a very brief period before the seizures came back. The doctors are working hard on coming up with a treatment plan for whatever this unknown disease is thats hurting his little body. He is eating like a champ and continuing to gain weight which is a very good thing… thank you Jesus! However there are still a lot of questions and unknown causes that are affecting John. You can read updates and get specific prayer requests at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/stonetwins. Here’s a recent picture of sweet John from their site: lughenmaotegeoqsb

Through the wonderful world of blogging I was introduced to Stellan and Jonah’s sites. Stellan is a miracle, to say the least. His parents were told at 20 weeks that their son had a very rare heart condition called supraventricular tachycardia, or SVT, and would not survive. Period. I can only imagine the heartache and desperate hope that his parents endured during those last 20 weeks of the pregnancy. Now over 4 months later Stellan is the most precious baby boy with big ol’ dimples.. praise the Lord! However, this little guy still is not feeling so great and still needs lots of prayers for complete healing! Updates on Stellan and his family can be found here: http://www.mycharmingkids.net/

Prayers for Stellan

Jonah is a little warrior if I’ve ever seen one. Jonah’s big brother Gabe was stillborn at 37 weeks. A little over one year later Jonah was born Feb 27th with an extremely rare skin disorder that affects only 8 in 1 million called Epidermolysis Bullosa. Basically the two layers of the skin, the epidermis and dermis, don’t have anchors connecting them, so any sort of movement or friction on the skin causes severe blisters comparable to 3rd degree burns. Even something as simple as sucking on a pacifier results in blisters around his mouth. You know his parents just want to pick him up and hold him so tight, and praise the Lord that Jonah is home now! However Jonah still faces multiple painful blisters every single day, and a lifetime of blisters, hair, nail, and major teeth issues, as well as possible respiratory involvement as there is no cure for EB. The pictures of Jonah are simultaneously so heartbreaking and yet just a constant reminder of how strong he is and what a little fighter he is, and the fact that God is not done with him yet. Hallelujah!! For updates on Jonah visit http://patriceandmattwilliams.blogspot.com/

Please, please join with me to pray for these little men; for complete healing, for peace and courage for their families, for wisdom for their doctors, and that these precious sons would have long, healthy, happy lives ahead of them. It is simply incredible to see the faith these families are experiencing during such a dark time in their lives. I’m thankful for the opportunity to join with so many other people around the world praying for these babies, and for the reality check that they belong to the One who created their heart in the first place, and ultimately they will live for eternity with Him because of what happened on Good Friday 2000 years ago. Thank you for believing and hoping for these precious boys.

God is good all the time…

…and all the time, God is good.
