NEW! Boudoir Sessions!

Since I’ve been a photographer I’ve heard of others shooting ‘boudoir sessions’, but to be honest I never thought this would be a kind of session I would offer. I’ve seen a lot of photographers take these sort of sessions waaaay beyond my personal comfort level, and just due to the sensitive nature of the session I wasn’t sure it was for me. I’ll stick  to the little kids and high school senior portraits, thankyouverymuch. I’ve gotten emails from women in the past asking if I photograph these sessions and I’ve always said that I didn’t and sent the business to another photographer who I knew specialized in boudoir photography. I’m not sure what it was when Jennifer emailed me about creating pictures and an album for her soon to be husband as a wedding present that was different to me; i think she was different to me. It was in the way she talked about the session and what she was looking for when I knew that she and I would get along perfectly and had the same ideas about what this kind of session should look like. I told her my vision and worries going into it, and she was totally honest and shared the same thoughts. We both agreed to try it, and I’m SO thrilled  that we did! It was such an honor capturing Jennifer in this way, and I know that album is something her now husband will treasure forever.

I will tell you right up front that I will not take on every client that comes my way for these kind of sessions; its so important to be on the same page! Because of that I’m offering these kind of sessions and albums to only my wedding clients, so to all my fabulous brides, past and present, if you’re looking for a fun wedding or anniversary present for your hubby then lets chat! :0)

Jennifer has gracious agreed to let me share one or two of the images from her session, so please feel free to contact me for more information if you’re interested!

Isn’t she stunning?! img_1701we kept the whole session very relaxed, with music going in the background the whole time :0) img_2896and here’s a tiny glimpse at the kind of leather album that comes with this kind of session: img_8806i’ve seen some pretty awesome gifts given between the bride and groom on the wedding day.. but i’m pretty sure Jennifer will win some sort of award for taking pictures in his football jersey :0) img_8823Thanks again Jennifer for letting me share a few of these!
