The Green Family- Virginia Beach Family Photographer

I know I’ve said it before, but one of my favorite parts of this job is getting to see the same families year after year! It never ceases to amaze me how much the kids have grown! You will remember Adam and Kelsey very well from their wedding that I blogged exactly one year ago today! Then you got a glimpse of their first home and how great marriage looks on the two of them during their “just married!” session last fall. You also got to meet their sweet nieces last June, and I was so excited when Heather contacted me to do family pictures during their upcoming family vacation! It always means a lot to me when a family will go out of their way to hang out with me and my camera, so when Heather told me that getting to do pictures with me again was one of the reasons they scheduled their family vacation in Virginia Beach I was beyond honored. This session and the pictures are a gift for Heather and Kelsey’s mom, so I hope she will love these pictures of her family!

When Heather told me that there would be 13 of them total, to be honest I was a little nervous. Coordinating a big group can be tricky, but their family couldn’t have been more wonderful! and on top of that they didn’t show up for their beach pictures in white shirts and jeans!!!! HALLELUJAH!!! :0) what more could a girl ask for?! ;0) check out how much Riley, Ainsley, and Natalie have grown since last year!! img_8622Natalie discovered quickly that sand = yucky!img_8667img_8708We scheduled this session for the first day of vacation, and so this was the first moment that the girls walked down by the water :0) love how you can see the combination of feeling so excited and yet overwhelmed by what is in front of them: img_8744I could not get over all of Natalie’s crazy curls! aren’t they adorable?! img_8784img_8819img_8757
img_8885img_8893These two of Riley and Ainsley are some of my favorites from our time together :0) I love the joy on their faces as they let the waves catch their toes for the first time.. i predict they spend a LOT of time this week in this spot :0) img_8915img_8925img_8931Natalie on the other hand was much more comfortable putting her toes in the water only as long as she could hold on to her daddy :0) img_8943img_8978img_9095img_9210img_9338img_9422img_9450img_9459img_9523gotta look out for those waves! they’ll getcha! img_9571img_9621I’m pretty sure Natalie is my favorite part of this next one ;0) img_9632img_9933while we were busy taking this sweet picture of Nate and his girls… img_9964no one saw the wave coming… well, except maybe Riley :0) img_9970I’ve got a special post coming tomorrow with more of this family, so make sure you check back to see what I’m affectionally calling my first ‘Beloved’ post! :0) Happy Wednesday!

Wow, these are amazing! I love the expressions on the little girls faces…Priceless! I too, love the idea of wearing “color” in beach portraits, it makes for a much more interesting picture!
