Tim and KC- WeatherLea Farm VA Wedding

It was at an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship mixer event where their paths first crossed. Since Hampton Sydney College was right down the street from Longwood University, they often did events together, and this was one of them. Everyone was meeting at HSC for a little dance class, and since Tim was already a pro he was one of the ones helping teach everyone else the steps. Now seriously, what girl can resist a guy who actually KNOWS how to dance?! He caught KC’s eye, but he also managed to catch the eye of a few other girls who would strategically pair up with Tim every single time. But KC was patient and waited her turn, and now they get to dance with each other for the rest of their lives.

Tim and KC, I can’t tell you what an honor it has been to not only be your photographer but to get to know you both over the past few months! Couples like you are exactly why I LOVE what I get to do every day! You are both such a joy to be around, and I’m so thankful I got to spend the weekend with you! Hope you’re having the best time in Costa Rica! :0)

Also a big thank you to Nathan Mitchell for 2nd shooting for the day! Make sure you check out his site for his view of Tim&KC’s day :0)

KC’s family worked so hard to make their day extra beautiful, and they had so many fun DIY projects and details! To start with, they pieced together all of the florals that were displayed around the reception and the girls bouquets!  KC opted to wear her grandma’s pearls on her wedding day:
KC and Tim were married at WeatherLea Farm and Vineyard and I think its safe to say that Nathan and I could have shot JUST the venue alone and been happy.. but when you add a gorgeous couple and fabulous DIY decor.. I was a VERY happy photographer :0) KC you are absolutely stunning! all you blog readers will be VERY happy to know that there’s a whole post of KC’s bridal portraits coming next week :0) love this moment right after they were announced as husband&wife!love the bubbles as they exited the ceremony! classic cadillac? don’t mind if i do! ;0) ready for lots of fun details?!? this was one of my favorite things! each table had a specific fabric, and each little escort card had a button with the matching fabric! Then they had sewed and made lots of little details with the same fabric that could be found around the table! hearts on the wine bottles, custom made napkin rings, and little hearts in the flowers! so perfect! Tim and KC’s guests could leave them a message in their guestbook, and were also encouraged to ‘take a picture, make a memory’ with the polaroid camera!I loved that each table was completely different, yet coordinated so perfectly! did I mention that Tim and KC’s last name is Fisher?! :0) first dance sweetness: I love it when couples find a fun way to display their engagement pictures, and they had a bunch of different old window panes FULL of pictures around the barn! a few more of my favorite reception details: such a gorgeous venue! and they’re off!Hope you are having the best time in Costa Rica! Here’s your slideshow! :0)

    Jessie,
You did a great job and thanks for getting pictures of all the little details. Without the help of my good friends Hollis and Brad (who did most of the sewing and metal work) we never would have finished. As it was we were right up to the wire and never had time to take our own pictures. KC will be so excited to see the end result.
    Many Thanks,
    Franci
