James and Gabi- Richmond VA Wedding Photographer

It happened as everyone was sitting around waiting for the moment Gabi could finally put on her dress. Her hair was finished, makeup completed, and she just enjoyed the company of her family and closest friends. She simply stated “I keep waiting for the nervous feeling to kick in, but it just hasn’t!” She and James were so ready to be husband and wife after being engaged and waiting for this day for a year; it was finally here and nerves were nowhere in site. They were both so calm and collected and simply excited that July 30th was finally here! They weren’t running around trying to finish a million little details or stressing about the small things, they were just counting down the minutes until they could finally see each other and say ‘I do!” I SO wish more couples could experience this kind of wedding day! It made me so happy to see them each getting to relax before the ceremony and spend time with the people they love the most. It set the pace for the entire day, and Gabi and James enjoyed a flawless, gorgeous wedding day with their family and friends!

James and Gabi were married at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond, VA and it was one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve had the privilege to shoot at! The ceremony was held at the Marriott in downtown Richmond and they did a great job setting up the reception just as James and Gabi had envisioned it! The whole day was a joy to photograph from start to finish and once again I’m so thankful that the talented Heidi Lee Photography was able to come along and 2nd shoot! Enjoy LOTS of favorites! :0)

Gabi’s dress suited her SO perfectly!! a little bling: and a little MORE bling!! James was definitely a fan of his wedding gift from Gabi ;0) James was looking very sharp, and i love that he wore his grandfathers cufflinks: seriously, Gabi’s dress could not have been more perfect for her!  Gabi, you are absolutely stunning! Love that one on the left! umm, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Gabi you are SO gorgeous! I could have shot bridal portraits of her all afternoon! clearly, James thought Gabi looked pretty gorgeous too :0) love this one of James while she is coming down the aisle! this is quite possibly one of my favorite ceremony shots of all time! This is RIGHT after they were pronounced husband and wife and had their first kiss, she leaned into him and he gave her this sweet kiss on the forehead! LOVE everything about this shot :0) have I mentioned yet how much I loved the cathedral they were married in?!? So gorgeous! since it was painfully hot outside, we decided to take full advantage of the beautiful church :0) another favorite :0) but OH my gosh i did love the exterior of the building! these guys were all such troopers and braved the heat to let me do some outside before the reception!I love the contrast between the dark doors and the light walls! love this one with the cathedral in the back! Huge canvas?? HECK YES!! :0) helloooo pretty lens flare! love the effect a big gust of wind has on a brides veil ;0) HA! i’m pretty sure this is Gabi cursing her mom and sister for crying during their first dance ;0)
OH my heavens I absolutely love this one of Gabi and her dad during their dance! He spun her in towards him just to give her a quick kiss :0) Hope you’re having a great time on your honeymoon! Here’s your slideshow! :0)

This is proof of what I have been saying all along. Jessica is an artist who uses her camera as the medium to express it! Love ALL the pictures. But then again, as Gabi’s father, I AM biased.
