Chris and Megan- Alexandria VA Wedding Photographer

The day before Chris and Megan’s wedding I had butterflies like it was the first day of school. I was too excited to focus on anything else! They were my first wedding of 2012 and I knew they were going to be the perfect couple to kick off the year with, and let me tell you, they set the bar high! There was this calming peace that covered their day from start to finish, and despite all of the rain, they had the kind of day every couple deserves to have. One that is enjoyable, relaxing, and filled with your favorite people. They had a great team of people helping to make this an unforgettable day for them, and it was so clear that everyone there is 100% behind this couple. Convinced that they really are better together, and only bring out the best qualities in one another. Megan and Chris, thank you for inviting me in your day not only as your photographer but as your friend. To say it was an honor to spend the day with you both is a huge understatement. Hope you had a wonderful time on your honeymoon! :)

how fun are Megan’s shoes?! Megan you are absolutely stunning!
love this shot of Megan, and how you can see all the rain on the window! We managed to find a little covered spot for their first look outside, however with all the traffic coming into the Crowne Plaza where they had the wedding and the constant rain, we were only able to stay for a few minutes. Still I love Chris’s reaction to seeing Megan for the first time :) Typically most couples don’t get to give their wedding gifts in person, but I was so happy we had extra time for Megan to personally deliver the album she made Chris full of cards, notes, and other special things she had kept throughout their relationship: one of my favorites :) ceremony time! what can I say, Chris was pretty excited to finally be married to Megan :) stooooop it right now! aren’t the they cutest?! :) and one last shot to close the night! :)
