12 Numbers of 2012

Remember this time last year when I summed up 2011, and felt like God was preparing me for something big in 2012?? Well that was absolutely true! 2012 was a great year for me, both personally and with the business. It was probably the best year personally I’ve had in about 8 years, which just made everything that much better! I made a few decisions up front to prioritize certain things such as keeping the Sabbath, tithing, and putting ministry as a first priority, and I feel like the Lord blessed each of those commitments more than I could have imagined. God pulled me so much closer than He ever has been before, and more than anything He really taught me what it looks like to be thankful in ALL things. (1 Thes 5:18)

All of those perspectives and blessings definitely spilled over into my business. All of my business goals I set for myself were met this year, and I feel like I’m more confident in the direction I want to take this business long term which is a really exciting thing! There were a lot of things that worked well, and as always I’m convinced that I have the worlds most amazing clients! :)

I can only imagine what He has in store for 2013! Let me tell ya, I have HIGH expectations! :)

Here we go, an attempt to sum of some of the best parts of this past year in 12 numbers!! :)

2,147- the number of ‘gifts’ i’ve counted and named since I started the journal back in August! I just couldn’t stop once I hit 1,000, it has become the best way to end my day:
3- the number of miles I ran when I completed my first 5K back in November:

112- my test score average of the 9 month long ‘Discipleship 101’ course I took through my church that made me valedictorian of my class. by far the best part of the process though was deciding to be baptized right before graduation:

50- the number of pounds i’ve lost total! goodness gracious this has been such a challenge kicking those last 5 pounds! i still have another 10-15ish pounds I want to get rid of, but 50 was a big goal for sure, so there are 5 balloons to celebrate!

9- the number of weeks this summer that I baked something delicious as the Triple-C directors ‘Secret Buddy’. this might not seem like a huge deal, but it was a big weekly project for me and I was proud to make it all 9 weeks! I didn’t take any pictures of it, but thankfully one of the directors grabbed one of the very first day:

1- the number of eyes closed tight, prayed with all my heart, wishes I threw into the Trevi Fountain this summer in Rome! The last wish I made in the Trevi Fountain came true, so I’m hoping for the same results this time around :) ps- if you haven’t seen the video I put together from our week in Rome/Tuscany/Montalcino/Pienza/Florence/Siena it is a must see, and you can view that HERE :)
120- the number of random facts I shared about me this past year in the “10 things you might not know about me” series. it was definitely a challenge each month to think of things to share and its safe to say i am officially OUT of facts! :) 1298418- the number of times that leading in KGB has made me smile. whether it was something hilarious that one of the kids said, one of my teammates making me laugh, another chance to pray over that ministry, seeing the kids excited to walk through the door, or seeing their hands raised in worship… it never fails to make me smile week after week. what can i say, we have fun in KGB :)

11- the number of engagements I celebrated with some incredible couples: 14- the number of weddings I had the honor and privilege to play a small part of: and man oh man, this one is exciting to me… 55: the number of families that allowed me to photograph them this year and shared their children with me! One of my goals for the year was to shoot more family portraits this year than last year, and this year there were 9 more families that I got to spend time with than in 2011! woo! check out all these sweet faces: and last but not least… 9- the number of goals I checked off of my list for the year. I had a note on my desktop of 10 goals I wanted to meet in 2012, and I’m going to go ahead and say that 9 out of 10 ain’t bad! I’m still working on my list for 2013, but I’m counting on this year being even better than the last! Happy New Year!! :)
