It doesn’t always work out to overlap vacations with your friends from home, but SOMETIMES it does, and when it does, you have to mark the occasion with early morning photos! We discovered that if you’re in town on a Halloween or Christmas Party day when the park closes early, it also OPENS early!

Is there ANYTHING more magical than the Grand Floridian Resort at Disney World during the holidays?! Absolutely not! This was always the resort of my dreams: the elegance, that gorgeous lobby, the class white buildings with the red roofs… it has been one of my top favorite resorts for as long as I can remember.

Seeing these kids that I’ve come to adore have the ‘best day ever’ time and time again will just never get old. It doesn’t matter if they see the castle once a year, once a month, or once a decade, it’s special and wonderful and full of magic every single time! We had a perfect September morning together, complete with breakfast with some special pals at the very end!

This session has been a decade in the making, and turned out better than any of us could have dreamed! I remember being at Scooter and Ashley’s house so, SO long ago when their oldest kids were just babies and Ashley telling me that her dream session one day when their family was complete was one at home, filled with all of their favorite Christmas traditions. Kiddos in holiday pjs, decorating the tree, making cookies, hot chocolate, their favorite christmas books, the kids smaller trees that go in their rooms… they have so many special holiday activites and I love that we got to work all of them into our morning together!
