Some call them “kids personality portraits”, some call them more “heirloom portraits”, I just call them a ton of fun! :) This is the first year that I’ve offered these mini sessions, and they’ve been such a big hit! There is such magic in each different stage of their childhood— from the chunky infant cheeks, the curious toddler looks, the ‘throw your head back’ belly laugh that some day turns into a more reserved laugh once they hit those pre-teen years, the sassy teenage eye roll when they’re trying not to giggle at you… it’s all worth remembering.

it amazes me every time just how fast that first year flies by, and it feels like just yesterday we were taking their maternity portraits as they waited for sweet Mia to arrive! I had the joy of documenting their maternity, newborn, 6 month, and now first birthday portraits, and it’s the sweetest gift to get to know a family over such a special year.

This year’s Motherhood Mini Session event was so special to me, and I am so grateful to each of the mamas and babies who joined me last April at Studio at 428! We had the most gorgeous florals by CS Farmstead, sweet treats by Signature Sweets by Amanda, and a beautiful day to celebrate these beautiful ladies.
