Matt and Lauren- Alexandria VA Photographer

Have I mentioned yet today how much I love my job? Well I do! People like Lauren and Matt make me L-O-V-E my job! People that love life and are crazy about each other, and graciously allow me into their lives to document it all. Lauren and Matt booked me for their September wedding after just a few short emails, so Lauren and I got together a couple months ago to get to know each other over a cup of coffee and talked about everything from family to work to disney.. oh, and of course she told me all about Matt :0) I’ve been excited about their wedding and getting them in front of my camera ever since! We decided on Old Town Alexandra for their engagement sessions, because seriously, whats not to love about Old Town?! (except for maybe one way streets.. i could do without those!) and we had a sunny, not-so-warm morning to spend together! You’d never know looking at these pictures that it was about 27 degrees outside! Lauren and Matt are definitely troopers! Can’t wait til September!! :0) oooh man cherry blossoms make me happy :0)So while I was taking this picture: … somebody that was driving down one of those crazy one-way streets decided to start honking their car horn like crazy and give Matt a little shout out.. which was awesome, made us all laugh, and resulted in this picture which I LOVE: Lauren, you are GORGEOUS! love this one! i couldn’t pick a favorite, so you get both :0)meet their pup Lexie! Lauren and I have been talking for a while now about something that they could do or bring to make their session different. We tossed around a lot of different ideas, but at the end of the day this is the idea that won: S’Mores!! yep, they busted out the s’mores right in the middle of the park :0) we’ll see if Lauren is as nice to Matt with the cake on their wedding day as she was with the s’mores.. ;0) Thanks again for braving the cold! :0)
