part of why i love my job so much is because it doesn’t (typically) require me to sit at a desk in front of a computer all day long. except days like today. days that are full of things like album design, updating finances, and creating new promotional materials. even though i love all of those parts of the job too (well, except maybe the finances) its hard for me to focus on days like this. days where i throw every window in my house wide open, and the sun comes pouring in you feel like you’re wasting the day by NOT being outside. and then my to-do list slaps me across the face for the 3rd time this week. focus, jessie. FOCUS.
so, this gorgeous friday was spent in front of my computer, with my windows open, and probably all of my neighbors listening to me sing sugarland and kari jobe at the top of my lungs. the other thing stealing my attention are thoughts of this place: thanks to background-wallpaper.com for showing me pretty pictures and wanting May 17th to HURRY THE HECK UP! yes, internet friends, i’m going to take pictures of this place myself, and probably every other inch of rome in May and I’m beyond thrilled! so in between album pages I’m searching “pictures of rome”.. design a few more pages… “must see spots in rome”… work on finances… “top 10 spots in rome”… focus, jessie. FOCUS!
SO, all that to say, could somebody please tell me how to focus on a day like this? or tell me what not to miss in Rome? ya know.. either one will work; I’m clueless about both! :0)
Happy (GOOD) Friday!
I don’t know about Rome, but Germany’s not too far. I know a couple there who would love a visit from there favorite photographer :)
ahhh Rome! Italy is my number one place to go to eventually! It looks so beautiful and there’s so much cool history! Also, love Kari Jobe and singing it at the top of my lungs :)
I’m feeling really left out with the whole Rome thing! I didn’t even know you were going!!
You have to go to the Trevi Fountain! Besides the Coliseum, walking around the area near the fountain was my favorite thing to do. Oh, and the Spanish Steps area too!
just go outside and get it out of your system. OR take your computer outside with you so you can still get work done :)
