So I know we just wrapped up 2010, but 2011 is in full swing and I already have a gorgeous wedding to share with you! Catherine and Ajith were married on 1.1.11 and celebrating with them was the perfect start to the year! It was so wonderful to see the entire Schuller family again after photographing Ashleigh and Dan’s wedding back in 2009, this family definitely knows how to host a fabulous wedding! Catherine and Ajith had their ceremony at St. Aloysius and their reception at the gorgeous Fairmont Hotel in Washington D.C. and their day was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Catherine looked absolutely radiant in her gown, and Ajith couldn’t take his eyes off of her.
Sara Bauleke with Bella Notte Events helped their day run incredibly smooth and built in plenty of extra time to every part of their day! Catherine and Ajith opted to do a first look and see each other before the ceremony, so we had plenty of time for lots of great portraits, and time for them to relax together before the ceremony! I know I’ve said it before, but I love when a couple will opt for a first look and the excitement and anticipation that you can see as she walks up behind him to see her soon-to-be husband for the very first time. That moment for the two of them is absolutely priceless and I love that my job allows me to witness it :0)
Ajith and Catherine, thank you for making me feel like an honorary family member for the day. It’s so clear that you two absolutely bring out the best in each other and compliment each other in every way. Hope you had a fabulous honeymoon and enjoyed your week off! :0) Also a big thank you to one of my favorite people, Katelyn James, for assisting me at the wedding! It always makes the day 100 times better whenever we’re able to shoot together, so make sure you check her blog for even more pictures!
Catherine’s ring is one of my all time favorites.. check out her bling! Ajith had left some beautiful roses and sweet card for Catherine:i love the excitement of a first look! such a fun moment! he’s in the middle of saying “wooooow!’ if you can’t tell ;0) definitely a favorite: pretty sisters: Catherine had picked out these purple wraps for all her bridesmaids, and I love the pop of color they add!

absolutely LOVE these next three of Catherine: here is when it got a little emotional.. seeing her dad for the first time: love this moment of him walking her down the aisle: I would love to know what Catherine’s dad said to Ajith right here when he gave her away ;0) and here’s a little preview of what’s coming in part 2 tomorrow! happy monday!
