There’s always that excitement that comes with every “New Client Inquiry” email that shows up in my inbox. I absolutely ADORE the clients I get to work with and truly believe that my couples are hand picked just for me. I get excited to hear their stories, hear about the wedding they’re planning, and get to know them better. One of the first questions I ask is if they have picked a location for the wedding, and I think that initial excitement quadruples when the couple says they’re getting married in MEXICO! Like I said last week, it is always an honor when a client invites me to be a part of their wedding, but when a couple is willing to bring me out of the country (or out of my TOWN for that matter!) it brings it to a new level. Sabrina and John knew they wanted great wedding pictures, and they knew they wanted someone who they felt comfortable with taking them. From the moment I met Sabrina and John, I knew they had been hand picked just for me :0)
From the moment Katie and I stepped off the plane thursday afternoon, we were greeted by sunshine, 85 degree weather, and the bluest of blue skies… what every couple deserves on their wedding day! Playa del Carmen was GORGEOUS, and provided the perfect backdrop for John and Sabrina’s wedding. The wedding took place at The Royal Playa del Carmen, and I was loving the architecture and columns everywhere! Sabrina is one of the most considerate people and had thought out every little detail for her guests, from the gift bag upon arrival, to the hanger for your purse so it didn’t have to sit in the sand at the reception! She went above and beyond to make sure that everyone ELSE was taken care of, and is so clear how much she and John cherish their friends and family that joined them for their wedding.
I’m pretty sure this is the first wedding on the blog to be shared in THREE parts, so enjoy lots of pretty pictures from this past weekend over the next few days! :0)
Sabrina’s gown was absolutely perfect and suited her SO well! We had lots of time before the ceremony, so I played around with lots of different ring shots :0) Isn’t Sabrina’s ring stunning?!?Sabrina and John’s two nieces were the flower girls and I could not get enough of them! Dakota and Juliana (remember miss Juliana?!) are only a month apart in age and were so sweet together! I love this shot of them that Katie grabbed! ceremony time! I could tell right away what a close relationship Sabrina and her dad have; he looked so proud walking her down the aisle! not a bad backdrop, huh? ;0) first things first; there was a champaign toast waiting for them! thanks to Katie for this next shot:
make sure you check back tomorrow for part 2, and definitely keep an eye out for part 3 on Saturday! woo!! :0) Happy Thursday!
