Brandon and Megan- Whitehall Manor Wedding

I’ve been around the world of weddings for about 4 years now, and I am constantly so impressed by my clients. I get to see them during the happiest moments and hear about the plans and details and things they’re excited about, but seeing these amazing weddings week after week I am always so impressed by how much they put into it. Megan and Brandon are absolutely no exception. Megan and I have been emailing back and forth for months talking about all her little details and all the ways that their families were contributing to make their day extra special and unique. You can tell how much Brandon and Megan’s families love and support their relationship, because everyone went so far above and beyond to help make it the perfect day for them. I knew after their engagement session that their wedding was going to be ridiculously beautiful, and last Saturday as I joined Megan and Brandon I remember thinking, “these are the kind of clients that photographers pray for, and I’m so glad they’re MINE!!”  :0) Megan and Brandon, thank you so much for including me in your day! I’m so thankful for you! Hope you had a WONDERFUL honeymoon!!

A big thank you to Heidi Naylor for tagging along for the day! Make sure you check her blog to see her latest work too!

Megan’s dress suited her so perfectly, she was such a classic gorgeous bride! Whitehall Manor served as such a gorgeous venue for the day: Megan definitely gets extra points for organization! She had all her details together and ready to go for me when I got there! I can tell how much time and effort went into making her wedding unique, check out some of her fun details:
Brandon was looking pretty sharp too: I literally couldn’t take pictures fast enough.. Megan, you are absolutely stunning! Also a big thank you to Cynthia over at Design in Bloom for doing such a beautiful job with the florals! oh my heavens, how CUTE is their ring bearer?!? and i loved that instead of flowers, the flower girls carried wands! they loved them! :0) and the fabric on their dresses was the same as the bridesmaids shoes.. I’m telling you, Megan had EVERY detail planned out! :0) this is potentially one of my favorite father/daughter pictures I’ve taken in a while. Megan and her dad paused right as he was about to walk her down the aisle, and I love that they took this moment nice and slow and how clearly you can see how much he loves his daughter: I think she was pretty happy to finally see her hubby-to-be :0) one, two, skip a few.. they’re MARRIED!! :0) Whitehall Manor had some gorgeous backdrops for their portraits! love it :0) huge canvas?!? yes PLEASE!!! another favorite :0) they not only had an old fashioned photo booth: but Megan’s dad MADE all these cookies for a cookie bar! best idea ever! all the guests LOVED this, and I can personal say that those peanut butter cookies were aaaamazing ;0) LOVE these two from their first dance! that one on the right is one of my new favorite first dance pictures ever!! I love when a couple can just ENJOY the moment! glad I know I wasn’t the only one tearing up during the father/daughter dance.. they get me every time! LOVE this one!! how cute are these two?!? He was out on the dance floor ALL night dancing with all the girls ;0)
and they’re off!! Congratulations Mr&Mrs Durst!!
Hope you are having a fabulous time on your honeymoon!! Enjoy your slideshow :0)

  1. […] Megan & Brandon’s southern wedding at Whitehall Manor in Leesburg, Virginia was packed with details and custom DIY projects. In front of the house were, “Eat, Drink and Be Married” arrows showing which direction to go. During cocktail hour guests were entertained by “cootie catchers” and a vintage photobooth. The tables were named after activities that the couple liked to do together so posters were made explaining each activity. The centerpieces were three different designs in a variety of colors, pink, purple, orange and yellow. The lampshade centerpiece even lit up to have a totally different look at night. After cutting the cake the candy bar opened and guests were treated to delicious cookies made by the brides dad himself. For the final exit the couple did a sparkler exit out the side doors of Whitehall Manor before departing in their limousine (which I don’t have a picture of). You can find more pictures from the wedding on the Jessica Smith Photography Blog. […]
