Scott and Megan- Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

Her joy and was contagious. Everyone that saw Megan was greeted with a big hug and a squeal of excitement. The day had finally arrived where she got to call Scott her husband and she was bursting at the seams! Megan and Scott are one of the most fun couples I’ve ever met, and let me tell you, that made my job helping Katelyn James for the day SUPER easy!! I’m so thankful that I got to 2nd shoot for my sweet friend and be a small part of Scott and Megan’s big day. It is always so fun for me to get the chance to 2nd shoot for another photographer; you get to focus on helping the primary shooter and make their job easier, and have a chance to really be creative and try things that you wouldn’t necessarily have the chance to do if you were the main shooter! I think 2nd shooting is so important for photographers, even just to see how another photographer runs the show on a wedding day! Everyone has a different way of doing things, and you learn so much from seeing how other people work! Katelyn and I always have the best time shooting together; trust me when I say there is never a dull moment!! :0) Katelyn, thank you for letting me tag along with you, and Scott and Megan, thank you so much for welcoming me with open arms and and letting me join you for the day! Make sure you check Katelyn’s blog to see even more from Megan and Scott’s day! :0)

I LOVED Scott’s ring! It had God * Strength * Honor * engraved around the band! So cool! loved this window light! I think all brides should have a stained glass window to put their dress on next to ;0)
One of my favorite moments of every wedding day is right when the dress is zipped up, and the bride sees herself in her dress for the first time. These next few images could not demonstrate the excitement more perfectly! Its the moment that everything becomes REAL! :0) Megan’s dress had such gorgeous detail to it!
quick little bridal portrait session before the ceremony started: My other favorite moment of the wedding day is seeing the look on the grooms face as he sees his bride for the first time: Married!!! how gorgeous is that tree behind them? love the pop of color! okay, so I always feel so TERRIBLE for the two people who catch the garter and bouquet and are then forced into this horribly awkward situation, but i have to say sometimes it does make for some really funny pictures! this one below is the poor guy looking at the DJ for permission to STOP! :0) Happy Tuesday!!
