Meet Emery Jane- Leesburg VA Newborn Photographer

oh friends, i am so thrilled to be introducing you to miss Emery Jane today. Jeff and Kristy have so graciously shared their story and their journey with the people in their life, and have allowed us to come along side of them in praying over the future of their family. i never had any doubt that one day we’d be doing newborn portraits for their family, but when God’s timing is SO not our own it can be nearly impossible to persevere. there were so SO many times i’d pray for their family and just flat out insist, “okay Lord, it is THEIR TURN NOW! this is not a hard thing for you to do, soooo just make it happen!” and oh how i’m sure He smiled and shook his head at me, knowing full well exactly when Emery was going to show up. this baby has had more prayers poured over her life than she will ever know, and she is the perfect answer to each of those. isn’t she a doll?! those chubby cheeks are the very best!Kristy, i have truly never seen you so joyful. it made me SO happy to see how completely smitten you are with your girl. you are such a natural and Emery is so lucky to call you hers. even Emery is smiling :) my favorite of their family!be still my heart! this is one of my favorite newborn portraits I’ve ever taken :)and these two… daddy/daughter photos get me every time! Jeff has been one of the pastors at our church for a few years now, and I got to know him well when he worked specifically as the student ministries pastor. maybe its because he’s already so great with kids, but i have to say that he was one of the most natural “new dads” i’ve ever seen… and in this job, i see a LOT of brand new dads :) it was like he had known Emery for years, the way he talked to her and knew immediately how to soothe and comfort her. He and Kristy are the very best parents :)oh hi there, blue eyes!i had given this onesie and bow to them when they found out they were expecting a girl, and Kristy asked if we could do a few photos of her in it at the end of the session. She said that it was such a part of their story, of Emery’s story, and i happily obliged :) and yes, sweet girl, you most certainly were worth the wait… it seems all the best things in life are :)Emery wasn’t too sure about the headband, but she tolerated it for a few minutes just because she knew her mama reeeeeally wanted a picture of her wearing it :)thanks again for sharing her with me, i’m so so thrilled for your family and can’t wait to watch your sweet girl grow :) happy wednesday!
