“i don’t get many things right the first time
in fact, i am told that a lot
now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
brought me here…
now I see it every day
and I know… that i am the luckiest.”

i know every photographer says this, but i truly think that i get to work with some of the very best people out there. i believe that there is a couple out there for every photographer, and i consider myself SO very lucky and thankful that i genuinely adore each of my couples. that they are people who i want to know for a very, very long time. that even if i wasn’t hired to be at their wedding, that i’d still be there cheering them on from the sidelines because i believe in them and in their marriages. Scott and Brittany are no exception. i think i turned to Katie at least 10 times during their wedding day and said some form of, “aren’t they awesome? isn’t she the sweetest? isn’t he so great? i just really adore the two of them!” as the photographer, you play a much closer, more involved role than the majority of the vendors, and it’s an honor i don’t take lightly when a couple invites you in. Scott and Britt, thank you so much for allowing Katie and I to celebrate with you both and to play a small part in your special day. enjoy WAY too many favorites :) their Jack Daniels was all kinds of fancy ;)swapping love notes before the day really gets started is always a fantastic idea…and a new pair of Ray Bans to go along with it doesn’t hurt either! ;)Scott was so excited to see his bride-to-be, he kept having to remind himself to take some deeeep breaths as she got closer and closer :)they knew early on that they needed a venue by the water since it was so important to both of them, and Celebrations at the Bay in MD provided the perfect backdrop! This is one of my favorite photos from their day, i think it needs to be on a big canvas somewhere!! :)love love love seeing these two so happy!remember this lovely lady from her wedding back in April?! it has been SO wonderful knowing the maid of honor at both of their weddings, man it has made the day go so much smoother and been so fun to see just how close Britt and Heather are on both of these special days! i told them as soon as i took these next two “oooh yeah, that’s going on the blog!!” :) i couldn’t adore you both any more! lookin’ good, gentlemen!i think a certain someone was getting just a liiiiiittle emotional seeing his bride walk toward him :) the recessional back down the aisle is always one of my favorite moments of the day! so much joy!oh man, when dad cries, EVERY one cries! you could tell right away just how loved scott and brittany are, they had so many people ready to toast them and offer a few words of encouragement:ha! looks like Scott had a little trick up his sleeve! can ya tell that Brittany was just a little surprised? ;)Scott is one of five brothers, and apparently this sweet lady right here was the only one brave enough to babysit them all when they were younger! so i thought she deserved her own photo.. even if it looks like not much has changed with these boys over the years :)these next two always end up being some of my favorite photos of the day :)congratulations again Mr. & Mrs. Siegel!!
