no matter how many pretty locations i discover to do sessions at, my most favorite place to photograph a family will always always be in their own home. it’s where little ones are most comfortable and in their element, which results in the best smiles and happiest kids :) and it allows us to really capture all of the fun parts of that particular age, like playing “doctor” and being so brave when its time for shots ;) 
and teaching baby brothers how to build tall block towers:
abby invite us all to her bedroom for a special tea party, and she even had a cup for me! :)
her other current favorite game is to play hair salon, and give her mama all sorts of fun new hair-dos! :) she takes her responsibility as a hair stylist VERY seriously! 
despite how it looks, those are not, in fact, real scissors! but i can’t get enough of the pleased look on abby’s face, and the slightly concerned look on her mama’s face ;) 
and we finished the session with abby showing off her new writing skills :)
