Kevin and Joelle- Shadow Creek Wedding Photographer

“Even though
I don’t tell you all the time
You had my heart a long, long time ago
In case you didn’t know”
-Brett Young

Out of my 15 year career, this might be the most special wedding blog post yet. I’m so excited to share photos from my baby brother’s wedding this past weekend at Shadow Creek.!He and Joelle have been together since their freshman year of college, and it was the most surreal, special, extraordinary experience getting to photograph their wedding.

As I edited the photos I just couldn’t get over that it was Kevin’s wedding pictures I was looking at. That for the hundreds of weddings I’ve photographed over the years, that now it was his turn. On top of that, Joelle kindly asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, so I was on double duty for the day. Thankfully, I had two of my dear friends Ally and Sarah cover all the moments I wasn’t able to shoot, and their presence there allowed me to be in “sister mode” almost more often than “photographer mode” throughout the day. What. A. Gift.

Joelle is the best addition to our family. She brings out the best in Kevin, and teaches me what patience, gentleness, spunk, and grace look like on a daily basis. She has become one of my closest friends, and I know that’s not something everyone can say about their in-laws. I’m so very lucky to have her as a sister.

Enjoy WAY too many images from their day, and cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Green! I love you both! Xoxo!

The girls got ready at The Retreat at Cool Springs and I could have photographed her in this suite FOREVER. So so so gorgeous!

Ally grabbed all these portraits of Joelle while we were getting her train situated and they’re some of my favorites from the day!

Then it was off to Shadow Creek! I was so thrilled when Kevin and Joelle chose this as their venue, there’s nowhere better to celebrate!!

Look how handsome!

The photos from their first look make me teary every time I look through them, so enjoy LOTS of images from that moment…

Quite possibly my favorite image from the day. I love how he loves her.

The weather wasn’t really in our favor all day, but moving the ceremony inside meant we got to take a bunch of their wedding party portraits in one of my favorite spots on the property!

Look who got to come be my date! It made my whole day to have my oldest godson Bobby there to celebrate with us!

When your big sister is your photographer… ;) no one else gives me the side eye quite like this!

So. Dang. Surreal.

Another perk of knowing ½ the guests… a few additional family portraits!

So endlessly thankful my grandparents were able to come celebrate with us. So so so grateful.

Some of my favorite people in the world joined us all the way from Florida! These two have been BFF’s since middle school. Can’t ya tell?! :)(psst- joelle started it ;))
