2008 has been a huge year for me personally, but also for my business. I’ve gotten to build relationships with some awesome couples and families. It makes my day to get a facebook message or email from one of the couples I’ve photographed, and I can’t wait to see you and your (growing :P ) families for many, many years to come! I’m so thankful for everyone who has referred me, encouraged me, and loyally stalked my blog this last year.. its an incredible blessing to be able to do what I do and call it a career. I’m truly do have the best clients in the world!
When it came time to pick my favorites from 2008 I had the hardest time narrowing it down.. sooo I didnt :0) I tried really hard to pick my top 10, and I managed to get it down to 11 out of the engagements and weddings from this last year, and a full slideshow of all my real favorites from this past year.
Kyle and Amy’s engagement session in VA Beach.. Love the laughter :0)
This was hands down my favorite image from Summer and Logan’s engagement session. They were complete naturals in front of the camera, and Logan was a PRO at dipping! :0)I loved this one from James and Caitlin’s wedding that I blew it up huge and framed it for my studio/apartment :0) I don’t really know what it is about it, I think I just love the simplicity of it and how you can see him looking at her with that big smile on his face!I loved this one from Jessi and Stephen’s wedding so much that I’m using as my 5×7 advertising flier for 2009! I used the other favorite from their wedding in my business card!I hope every single bride in 2009 wants to do a ‘day after’ session! I had so much fun with Erica and her new husband Daniel “trashing the dress” as some would call it. All I consider a ‘day after’ session to be is a time to take some amazing relaxed portraits of you and your new spouse after the wedding when you can pick a different location from the wedding, you have another reason to get all dressed up in that gown you fell in love with, you’re not worried about keeping your guests waiting or getting a little bit of dirt (or a LOT of sand as the case may be!) on your dress because you’re about to get it dry cleaned anyway! Each package in 2009 now comes with three options, an engagement session, bridal portrait session, or ‘day after’ portrait session and I hope more people take me up on it! :0) Not that I don’t love engagement or bridal sessions, but the images from your wedding that end up being most “wall worthy” are the ones of your and your husband right after the ceremony, so why not take a little extra time and have some fun with it?! :0)
Your work is amazing!!! Jess Whitt is my best friend and she sent me the pic you took of sophia…they are soooooo cute. I guess it is not too hard to take pic of such a wonder mom and daughter=}
I am getting married at The Greenbrier on 8-15-09. I was wondering if we could talk about your availability and pricing.
Look forward to talking to you.
