He wanted to surprise her. Lindsay knew it was coming, most likely coming very soon, and so that made Dan’s job much more complicated. He had won the approval of Lindsay’s father and her three brothers, not an easy task when it comes to their only sister! He had the perfect ring, now needed the perfect way to surprise her. There were plenty of family events coming up around the holidays that would have been suitable for a proposal, but she would have seen it coming, so those weren’t an option for Dan. One of their favorite things to do together is to go running through DC, around all the gorgeous monuments, and Dan knew she would never see it coming. It happened one perfect morning during just another one of their morning runs. He stopped her right in front of the Jefferson memorial, “said some pretty romantic things, of course” as Dan explained, and asked her to be his wife. She was completely caught off guard, just as Dan had imagined, and she agreed right there in the middle of their morning run, no make up and all :0)
So of course we had to do their engagement pictures in DC at the Jefferson memorial! Dan and Lindsay were SUCH naturals in front of the camera and made my job so easy. They needed so little direction, and I had such a hard time narrowing it down because literally these two did not take one bad picture! They wanted something a little more formal for the pictures and I was more than happy to oblige! I can’t wait for the wedding in April! :0) Enjoy a lot of my favorites and your slideshow! They were quite a site walking around DC with all their wardrobe changes :0) seriously, not one bad picture of these two! This was definitely one of my favorites! Holy smokes I LOVE this one of Lindsay!! So gorgeous!! As always, I have 29084 favorites.. I absolutely LOVE these next ones :0) c’mon how stinkin cute are they?!? I love the laughter and joy in these next ones.. Here’s your slideshow!
