You will remember Mike and Carolyn from their engagement session just a few weeks ago, their wedding came up so fast! After talking all throughout their engagement session about everything they had planned for their wedding day I couldn’t wait for August 1st! I was thrilled that Jill was able to come with me, once again she got some great shots! (Make sure you check those out at the end of the post!) The day started out great, everyone was ready to rock right when Jill and I got there so we took full advantage of the perfectly overcast afternoon for their pre ceremony portraits. The church they had the ceremony at was gorgeous and I could have walked around their taking pictures all day, so imagine my disappointment when we opened the doors right after the ceremony and it was pouring down rain, juuuuust in time for their portraits! I dont think it phased Carolyn and Mike at ALL; they were so go-with-the-flow and you could tell that absolutely nothing was going to take away their excitement. Thankfully by the time we arrived at Princess Anne Country Club for the reception the sun decided to make an appearance and the rain stopped just in time for round 2 of their portraits! Thank goodness! Carolyn and Mike made sure that they welcomed and spent time with every single of their guests throughout the ceremony, and I think they probably would have stayed their all night catching up and dancing with their friends. It was so clear how important all of their guests were to them, and you could tell everyone had such a great time! Thanks so much for letting Jill and I be a small part of your wedding day, hope you’re having a wonderful time on your honeymoon!!
Carolyn was such a stunning bride.. her dress was gorgeous and suited her so well! This was definitely one of my favorite parts of the day… Mike sent this big ring box to Carolyn right as we were taking some portraits before the ceremony and we were all bracing ourselves for what we assumed was some beautiful piece of jewelry inside the box… Well we were definitely right about it being jewelry… We just didn’t know it would be edible ;0) once the rain let up a little bit we ventured out of the church.. love this one in the back of the classic cadillac they had! seriously you would never know from this pictures it had been pouring rain only 15 minutes earlier.. gotta love those summer thunder storms! These next few are definitely my favorites from the day.. I couldn’t pick just one! Then again I really love this next one too.. good thing I’m allowed to have multiple favorites :0) The flower girls were so fun! They literally did not leave the dance floor all night! These next three are Jill’s… I love having her come with me to 2nd shoot! She always finds awesome different ways of looking at the shot: Here’s your slideshow!
