I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine… {song of solomon 6:3}
When I got back from WPPI last March I blogged about Beloved sessions and what a powerful thing they can be. Jesh de Rox spend two hours sharing his heart with a thousand of us one Monday morning, and I haven’t been able to get what he was saying out of my head since. So much of this business is focused on the excitement of a couple in love and getting married, but what about one year after the wedding? What about ten years? What about thirty years? Doesn’t that deserve to be documented as well? As I looked through these images I could see something different in them; something different in the way these three couples looked at each other that I believe comes as a precious gift with being married. They’ve melted together through the years and its such a beautiful thing to see. I wanted to make sure that I spent a little bit of extra time with these three couples celebrating the marriages that they have worked hard at. I hope you enjoy these picture as much as I enjoyed taking them! Please let me know if you’d like more information on a Beloved session!
This first image very well could be my favorite one of the entire evening. I hope you both continue looking at each other this way for many, many years: I’m pretty sure Nate is the best “dipper” i’ve ever met ;0) this was a totally unprompted, take-you-by-surprise dip :0) he needs to give lessons to all the other guys I photograph! that moment right before a kiss is one of my favorites to photograph: i hope all couples laugh together as often as Kelsey and Adam:
Thanks again for making the trip all the way from Raleigh, I can’t wait to see your family again soon! :0)
We all love the pics, Jessie! Thanks so much. Hope to see you soon…
