eleven numbers of 2011

Well first things first… Happy New Year! I can’t believe we’re already in 2012, and I hope you are all as excited and ready for the new year as I am. Along with most of you, I’ve spent the past week thinking back over this past year, the good and the bad. I’ve been trying to compose some kind of year-summary blog post for a few days and my original goal was to have it up right after Christmas, but sometimes my brain just can’t process right on schedule. Its been a whirlwind of a year and seemed to fly by faster than most have. For me, I feel like this year was more about refining and developing a better routine. This has been the first year that I haven’t moved since college, this business is more established now than it has ever been before, and I was finally able to really dig in and plant some roots up here in Leesburg. Its been about developing my relationships with new friends, and learning to be more obedient to the Lord and listen for his voice and direction (I talked about that some in THIS blog post). I feel like God has done so much work and refining in my life this past year, that it makes me think and pray that He is setting me up for something big in 2012! I feel more in tune with my Heavenly Father than I have in a long time, and that is a really happy and exciting place for me to be walking in to this new year.

So on that note, as I looked back on this past year, I came up with a list of eleven significant numbers of 2011 to share with you.. enjoy, and happy new year!!

25- the number of years I celebrated this year  16- the number of months I’ve lived in my house .. so glad to be able to say that i love living in Leesburg way more than I ever expected to! 5- the number of days I got to spend with my extended family in Colorado this summer .. this was definitely one of the best parts of the year for me. my extended family hasn’t all been in the same place in a VERY long time, and who knows when it will happen again, so I soaked up every moment in one of the most beautiful cities in the country!  7- the number of months I have been leading worship at my church… and every time i step through the door i find myself more and more thankful for the people there and the body of Christ at Community Church 6- the number of times I got on a plane to go somewhere fun.. California, Cancun, Puerto Rico, Colorado, California, and Florida 121,248,712- the number of kisses i’ve stolen from these 5 kids that make my world SO much better! I’m so thankful for my incredible godkids Bobby, Riley, and Tanner, and the other little loves of my life Lauren and Sammy. They are my happy place.  23- the number of pounds i’ve kicked to the curb .. and counting! YEAH! and a just a few more of the most important numbers that made this year what it was….

13- the number of engagements i celebrated with my clients

19- the number of weddings i had the honor and privilege to photograph this year  46- (are you ready for this one?!) the number of families that let me into their lives this year and allowed me to document their beautiful children: and last but certainly not least… I’ve got a little list of 10 things I would love to see happen in 2012… so i’ll keep ya updated as dreams become reality :o)
