Clay and Jessica- Bluemont Vineyard Wedding Photographer

Get excited, friends, I’ve got an especially fun one for you today :) Jess is a good friend of mine from college, and I literally squealed for joy when I received her email that she and Clay were engaged! I follow Jess on pinterest and had noticed her pinning a few more wedding related ideas right before it happen, so I thought a proposal could be coming soon, but even so I was so overjoyed for my friend when it became official! I can honestly say I have never ever seen her happier; it was obvious after meeting him for about 2 minutes how well Clay loves Jess and how perfectly they compliment each other. They showed up this past Saturday for engagement pictures with their puppy Quinn leading the way and I just couldn’t get over how genuinely joyful they both seemed! So many dreams and plans that Jess and I had talked about years and years ago in the CNU days, to be able to see God bring about every single one of them, and to be allowed to document it all was such a sweet gift! Clay and Jess are getting married this December at The Biltmore (ahh! Christmas at the Biltmore! be still my heart!) and I am literally counting down the days!! I couldn’t be more excited for the two of you, and I can hardly wait to see what God has for you both especially over this next year :) Happy viewing, friends! :)

Jess and Clay are getting married around Christmas, and I was so excited when they showed up with these fun lights as a prop! Christmas cards, anyone?! :) then we headed over to the apple orchard at Bluemont Vineyard to see what we could find :) I seriously could have stayed in this one spot for their entire session! The light! The colors! The ridiculously good-looking couple! ;) This next handful is by far some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken.. wind-blown hair and all :) umm Clay, you are a very lucky man :) LOVE this shot: i’m tellin’ ya, when you look up the word ‘joyful’ this should be the very first thing that pops up: what more does a girl need, right? :) love seeing my sweet friend so happy!! we eventually wandered over the the part of Great Country Farms where they keep their animals, and this little miniature horse was the cutest thing! … but this photobombing donkey on the other hand was just hilarious to me, he kept going until he was riiiiiight behind Jess and Clay.. ready for his close up! :) love the texture on walls like these :) another spot I definitely could have stayed at for awhile :)
