The Kearney Family- Northern VA Family Photographer

The original idea for this session was just to get her grandkids together, and surprise Anne with some photos of her three grandkids for her birthday. Between busy schedules and getting rained out, we tried three different times but it just wasn’t going to happen before her birthday. Carolyn and I were talking, and decided that an even better idea would be to get their whole family together and maybe even let the adults be in some of the photos with the kids ;) I’m SO glad things worked out the way it did! I’m so excited to introduce you to some of our dearest family friends, the Kearney family! The Kearney family has been in my life for as long as I can remember, and Anne and Ed are some of my parents closest friends! We’ve spent holidays, vacations, and so many fun evenings with their family, and this year especially I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with Carolyn and her husband Mike since we’re photographing their son Benjamin’s first year! His 8 month session will be on the blog next week, but for now enjoy lots of favorites from their family portrait session! :)

This was one of the very first shots I took of the day! Starting on the left we have Carolyn and her husband Mike with their son Benjamin, Anne and Ed, and their two sons Brendan and Brian, and those two beautiful little girls are Brian’s daughters Emily and Brooke :)
as much as I love all of the group family photos, somehow I have a feeling photos like this will end up displayed in Anne’s home :) it doesn’t get any cuter than these three! :) sweet sisters :) as adorable as those grandbabies are, I wanted to make sure I got at least one shot of Ed and Anne and their three kids too :) Emily and Brooke are so smitten with their little cousin Ben :) They were more than happy to hold him and make him laugh the entire time! look at his cute hat!! love it! we already had Ben’s 8 month session on the calendar, so you will get a WHOLE post just of him next week, but here are a few we did during their full family session to hold you over until then ;) Happy Monday! :)
