“When over the years someone has seen you at your worst, and knows you with all your strengths and flaws, yet commits him or herself to you wholly, it is a consummate experience. To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.”

Whitehall Manor is starting to feel a little like a 2nd home these days, with all of the gorgeous weddings I’ve been able to photograph there over the years! It truly is one of my favorite wedding venues in the area, it’s packed with charm, elegance, and character! Andrew and Rachel had a whirlwind wedding weekend, with a traditional Cambodian wedding ceremony all day Saturday, and then part 2 on Sunday at Whitehall! In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if they were STILL catching up on sleep after last weekend! ;) Everything went so perfectly, with a big thank you to Lynn from The Finer Points for coordinating the day! It was so sweet to see how supportive and involved both of their families were throughout the whole day; Andrew and Rachel walked around during the reception to greet each and every table, and both sets of parents insisted on tagging along too so they could meet everyone and thank them for coming. You could tell by the end of the weekend that their hearts were so full, and that their family and friends made them feel so loved, which is really all that matters! :) Andrew and Rachel, thank you so much for allowing me to play a small part in your day, it was truly an honor!Rachel used her grandmother’s clutch and handkerchief as her “something old”:the broach on her bouquet was taken from her mother’s wedding gown:one of my dear friends Sarah has recently started her own little photography business down in Williamsburg, and it was so fun to have her tag along for their wedding! This next photo is hers! :) love this shot of Rachel and her sister Hilary :)another one of Sarah’s photos! every momma should look at her daughter just like this on her wedding day :)who knew cufflinks could be so complicated?! ;) it started raining riiiiiight as they were about to do their first look, so we improvised a little bit and kept right on going! Rachel explained that one of the things she loved best about Whitehall was all the meadows and open space, so we made sure to work that into their portraits!love this photo Sarah took of Rachel and her dad about to walk down the aisle:he was such a proud father as he stood up there with Rachel :)I don’t normally include family portraits in the blog post, but this one was too sweet to leave out :)lovely ladies!this next photo just might be one of my favorites from the day! Sarah grabbed this photo of Andrew trying to protect his new wife, looks like specifically from his brother and her sister who look like they’re ready to attack! ;) and this was my view :)isn’t she the most stunning bride?! :)my favorite shot of Andrew from the day:in keeping with tradition, they walked around to greet each table and bowed to the elder at that table. love this photo of them, and how happy the gentleman sitting down looks to see them! can’t you tell how excited he is for Andrew and Rachel? :)Rachel’s grandfather was the best dancer out there all evening! :)thankfully the sun did decide to eventually come out, and we were able to sneak away for a few more portraits during the reception!another one of Sarah’s portraits:one of my favorites from the day. I think they were needing a quiet minute and I was more than happy to steal them away for some pictures and a break from the dance floor :)not sure what was the problem was here, but it made for a aweeeeesome photo :)and of course, my favorite way to end the evening :)Hope you’re having the best time at Disney World! Say hi to The Mouse for me! :)
