“it’s the oldest story in the world. one day you’re seventeen and you’re planning for someday. and then quietly, without you ever really noticing, someday is today. and then someday is yesterday. and this is your life.”

Joe and Kathleen are such champs for braving the heat for their portrait session, you’d never know it felt like a million degrees outside as we walked along the streets of Colonial Williamsburg getting to know each other! They explained that they’ve been able to take engagement and wedding photos in these same spots, and Kathleen has a vision of coming back here 50 years from now with their grandkids doing portraits still in those very same places… which i fully support :) their first baby Madison was able to tag along for pictures too! she is the sweetest! so calm and friendly! can’t wait to see her with baby Jackson in just a couple months :)love love love these next three! i know they’re all fairly similar but i loved them all and couldn’t pick! :)i can already picture that photo taken 50 years from now in front of this same tree :) how perfectly does that lavender match her dress?! :) couldn’t have planned it better if we’d tried! another favorite for sure :)can’t wait to see you both again in August and meet Jackson! :) thanks again for showing me around all of your favorite spots! happy monday!
