I have been so excited for Kelsey and Adams wedding for so many different reasons. First of all, they were getting married at the Angus Barn, a location I’ve been dying to shoot a wedding at for over a year now. Second, the lovely and talented Katelyn James was able to come 2nd shoot for me, and I LOVE any chance to work with her! The main reasons I was excited was because I loved getting to know Adam and Kelsey at their engagement; how they interact with each other and constantly made each other laugh, and I knew their wedding was going to be amazing. We made a deal with God when it poured down rain for their engagement session, that we were okay with the rain then as long as it didn’t rain on their wedding day, and as always He held up His end of the deal ;0) They had a perfect sunny summer day and everything went exactly as planned as they came together with all their friends and family to commit themselves to one another and their marriage to God.
Kelsey and Adam, thanks so much for inviting Katelyn and I to be a part of your day. I can’t wait to see you again for your day after session in July! To anyone thinking of adding a 2nd shooter to their package, I HIGHLY recommend it! It lets us spread out and get different angles like this.. here’s my view: and here’s Katelyns:
Don’t let this fool you.. Adam was actually really excited to marry Kelsey ;0) See what I mean? Kelsey picked a very special song to walk down the aisle to and wanted to make sure I got Adam’s reaction… I think he was pretty happy with it, don’t you? :0)
I love this one of Katelyn’s too.. while I was photographing the rest of the bridal party walking back down the aisle, Katelyn grabbed this of Heather and Nate and their girls walking to congratulate Kelsey and Adam! The lighting was PERFECT as soon as it was time for portraits of just the bride and groom: I think its safe to say that Kelsey and Adam very well might be the biggest wolfpack fans I’ve met.. and thats saying a lot considering I worked with lots of alumni and current NC State students when I lived in Raleigh! :0) I loved how they had the reception decorated! All the lights everywhere looked so great! Since Heather is Kelsey’s sister and Nate is Adam’s brother (in the words of heather, “don’t think about it for too long, just trust us) they opted for a joint toast full of lots of wisdom from Nate to Adam about marrying a Green girl and advice from Heather to Kelsey about marrying an Oltmans boy :0) It was definitely one of the best toasts I’ve ever heard! enjoy your slideshow! and make sure you check out Katelyn’s blog in a day or two for even more pictures!
[…] year in a row getting to spend June 19th with their family; the first time was when I photographed Kelsey and Adam’s wedding, so it was fun to be able to see them on their anniversary! I’m sitting here flipping back […]

Jessie, These are so beautiful I have watched them many times over. Thanks for being such a delightful part of our day. You and Katelyn caught the spirit and mood of the wedding well. You captured the playful joy that the bride and groom share. Thanks. What a treasure!
