Lauren had been asking me for the last week if we could have a special girls morning before I head back to Newport News. How could I say no to that?! I have soaked up every minute I could with the kids as I stepped away from the computer to help out their family for the past week or so. Even though I get to see them usually at least once a month, every minute that I get with them is precious because every time I see them they’ve changed. They like new things and have out grown others. They’ve always gotten significantly bigger. Yes, internet, even in just one month these babies change so much. I’ve asked them time and time again to puh-leeeease stop growing so quickly, but for reason they enjoy growing up. Go figure.
Lauren has always loved crafts, so for our girls morning she opted to get some fun stuff to make valentines. As we were driving back from Michael’s with our craft supplies in hand we were listing off all the people she wanted to make valentines for. Can you read who she decided to make her special valentine for? :0) Yes, thats right. She decided on her own that Jesus would make the best valentine…. “All you have to do to send a valentine to Jesus is to make it however you want it, punch a hole in it and tie it to a balloon and then send it up, up, up alllll the way to Heaven!”
and my little baby heart melted right then and there. and if MY little baby heart melted, I would have loved to see the expression on her Heavenly Fathers face as he listened to her talk about her valentine :0) She was a little bummed that I made her go to kindergarten and didn’t kidnap her for the whole day.. she said next time she will have to skip school to do an entire girls DAY instead of just a girls MORNING.. aaand she also decided we should have that girls day at Disney World too :0) No argument from me! Big surprise, huh? ;0)
Sounds like a little girl I used to help make valentines. She even has your heart. xoxo
this is the cutest thing i have seeen in a long time. bless her heart.
