Somedays its still hard to grasp that I’m now in the phase of life where people I went to college with are not only married, they’re having kids! While Chad was a couple years older than me, I’ve been seeing him and his wife Laura at CNU bonfires, cookouts, and weddings for years now, so I was thrilled about a chance to really get to know them when Laura contacted me about doing the “baby’s first year” package a few months ago! I was so impressed with the locations they scoped out before the session around Fredericksburg, its exactly what I would have picked! We started off at Slaughter Pen Farm, which actually is way cooler than its name suggests, and ended the session in the exact spot that Chad proposed to Laura years ago! Love it! Enjoy so many of my favorites! :0) isn’t she gorgeous?! I’m pretty sure I didn’t take a single bad picture of Laura, which made narrowing down pictures for this post VERY hard! :0)love everything about this moment :0)definitely a favorite! :0) couldn’t pick just one :0) i have that problem a lot.. hey Chad, this one is for you ;0) i know what you’re thinking, i have REALLY good looking clients. its okay to be a little jealous ;0) this was one image that Laura knew she wanted from this session and I absolutely love it. This is the exact spot that Chad got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife :0) oh hey there little baby! chad and laura opted to wait to find out if the baby was a boy or girl… laura thinks its a boy, what do you think?? One of their friends made this sweater for the baby!! Impressive, huh? :0) Thanks again for being so awesome, can’t wait to see you guys again soon! :0)

Adorable, Jess! Great work. Is the spot on the walkway/bridge on Mary Washington’s campus? It looks familiar to me.
