I have to admit, when Matt and Corrie first contacted me and knew they wanted to do their engagement pictures where Matt lives in Frederick, Maryland, there was a little part of me that was totally excited to shoot somewhere different, but there was another part that was a little nervous since I had never explored Frederick at ALL. Well they could not have picked a more perfect spot for the two of them. They both have so much history in this little town, and it was so fun to walk around with the of them and hear about their roots and all the ways they felt connected to this place and to each other. We lucked out with a perfect evening for their session after a crazy day full of rain (you’d never know that looking at this first few images, huh?) and I’m so honored they let me document this exciting time in their lives!
I’m pretty sure I could have stayed in this one spot for their entire session and been happy. I love weeping willow trees, and the light was just perfect!
