Connor: One Year- Leesburg VA Baby Photographer

I seem to have developed a little pattern when it comes to laying out blog posts for the week; I always like to end the week on a Friday with the wedding I shot the weekend before. That way it gets to stay at the top of the blog all weekend and as the couple comes back from their honeymoon its right there waiting for them, instead of having been pushed down the blog by more recent posts. Then by monday morning, I’m ready for a baby fix! Anybody else?!? ;0) I love getting to start the week showing off my cutest and smallest little friends, and this week I’m excited to share with you Connor’s 1st birthday session! Its hard to believe that he’s already ONE! He truly is one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever met; while most kids at this age are wanting to explore everything and not be held, he would be perfectly content just snuggling with his mama, and made sure that every few minutes during the session he crawled over to her for a hug. His sweet blue eyes and scrunchy nose smile have had me hooked since the day I met him, and it has been such a privilege to document this first year for their family! :0)

We did his first birthday session at Morven Park in Leesburg and it has become one of my new favorite locations for pictures! Such a beautifully landscaped property! :0) The session started out just as it should, with lots of hugs from his mama:
which quickly turned into those handsome big smiles Connor always gives me :0) he’s a boy on the MOVE! seriously this boy is all smiles! love his long eyelashes! whereas most kids would throw it off of their head the moment it touched them, Connor LOVES wearing his baseball hat! and of course, no first birthday session would be complete with out CAKE! :0) Since it was almost his lunch time, he was more than willing to dig right into the cake :0) my favorite! :0) I’m not sure who left with more cake on themselves, Connor or Courtney! :0)
