Phil and Katie: Part 1 – Bluemont Vineyard Wedding Photographer

Get ready friends, I’ve got a good one for you today.. :0)

I have a feeling that Phil and Katie‘s wedding will go down as one of my all time favorite weddings that I will ever be a part of. Don’t get me wrong I love that I get to celebrate with so many fabulous couples, but when its one of your very best friends, it takes it to a totally new level. Lets just start with the fact that I have never in my life seen Katie happier than she did on their wedding day. It made my heart SO happy to see my friend so joyful all day long. On a day that can stress out the best of ’em, Katie was absolutely glowing and ready to enjoy this day. That was enough to make it one of the best days ever just seeing her so happy, but that was just the beginning.

As much as I loved seeing Katie get into her dress for the first time, and as much as I loved getting Phil and Katie all to myself for a few minutes for their portraits, and as much as I loved seeing them dance together as husband and wife, I think my absolute favorite part of the day was their ceremony. The part of the day where they made promises to one another and their Maker. They had been asked their top 3 favorite things about the other person, and I loved getting to hear their responses. I’m pretty sure they each responded with a list of about 1920834 things they loved about the other person, but somehow the pastor managed to narrow it down to just three for each of them. As you can CLEARLY see, Katie is drop dead gorgeous, but the first thing Phil mentioned is how beautiful her relationship with the Lord is and how well she loves other people…and THEN he talked about how gorgeous she is :0) Katie responded by saying that first and foremost she loves how he puts God first in his life above everything else, and how she has more fun with him than anyone else in the world, but my favorite thing she said was how one of the things she most appreciates about Phil is that he is an easy man to respect. How a lot of women have to really work at respecting their spouse, and he makes it so easy for her by being a man after God’s heart. I sat there and listened and soaked in every work about how Katie and Phil had been designed for one another by God, and their day had finally arrived to become husband and wife.

Phil and Katie, words cannot express how excited I am for the two of you as you enter into this new stage of life. I’m thankful for your friendship and the example you set to those around you. Your wedding day was perfect from start to finish, and I’m so SO thankful I got to be a small part of it! Love you guys, hope you had the BEST time in Jamaica! :0)
Katie’s bouquet was SO gorgeous! bling bling! Bluemont Vineyard provided some GORGEOUS backdrops for the day! how incredible is Katie’s dress?! Isn’t the back of her gown so gorgeous?! goodness gracious I have pretty friends! LOVE these next two of Katie: ooooooh my heavens… Phil, you are a VERY lucky man :0)

and the gentlemen were looking pretty sharp too! since it had SNOWED the day before their wedding, the ceremony got moved indoors. Love this shot of Phil as Katie walked towards him: love, love, LOVE! Married! :0) most beautiful bridesmaids ever?
