Katie’s Bridal Portriats- Tuscany Italy Destination Wedding Photographer

I had some pretty pictures from Siena and Pienza to share with you today, but I decided I just can’t hold these images all to myself any longer :) Last time I was in Italy literally everywhere we went I would say “Ah! that is so beautiful! I just need a bride standing RIGHT THERE for the picture to be complete!” While I can appreciate a pretty landscape, a photo is just usually more appealing to me with some expression and emotion in it. So this trip, when I invited Katie I quickly added in “and you could bring your dress, and we could do bridal portraits all over Tuscany!” :) thankfully, she invested in an extra large suitcase just for the occasion and fit her dress no problem :)

As soon as we got to the villa and scoped out the property, we realized the light was perfect and we had all evening free. The only problem was, we were EXHAUSTED. The time change and lack of sleep had officially set in and all we wanted to do was crawl into bed. I wasn’t feeling super creative, and I had been way too excited about these portraits to waste the opportunity. but with a packed week and the threat of rain, she put on her dress anyway and said “well, maybe if we just go for it once we start we’ll be 12 kinds of excited…” let me tell you, I had Katie stand in the middle of a bunch of vines, we pieced together a bouquet of olive branches and wild flowers, and as soon as I turned around and saw her standing there with the light behind her, i was allllll kinds of excited!! I jumped into high gear and literally squealed with excitement about every .5 seconds! We walked around for the next hour or so and its safe to say that these are some of my favorite portraits i’ve ever done :) oh and did i mention this is just PART 1?! we lucked out with another night and an even more incredible location later on in the week, so stay tuned for those next week :) but for now, here’s part 1! happy viewing!

i do believe this was when I squealed and said “AHH! okay NOW I’m 12 kinds of excited!!!” who needs a professional florist?! ;) Katie’s clip came from Whichgoose on etsy and was the PERFECT accessory! not a bad driveway, huh? :) why can’t houses in Virginia look like this? and have their own wishing well out back? :) goodness gracious I have pretty friends :)
Happy Friday! :)
